Wohnen am Harras is dedicated to enhancing urbanism and improving the quality of life for the people of Munich by creating new and dynamic urban spaces. By focusing on the development of better pedestrian connections, the project aims to link two distinct areas of Munich through the transformation of currently privately owned green spaces.
Central to the project is the conversion of these private green areas into a public park. This new park will not only provide a green oasis for the community but also facilitate easier and more enjoyable pedestrian movement between different parts of the city. The project’s vision includes the integration of this public space with a new housing complex, designed to harmonize with the existing topography and the new pedestrian pathways.
The arrangement of the new buildings is carefully planned to create a variety of urban spaces. These spaces range from fully public areas, where all community members can gather and interact, to semi-public and semi-private zones, which offer a degree of exclusivity and privacy for local residents. This thoughtful design ensures that the project caters to diverse needs, fostering a sense of community while providing personal spaces for relaxation and socialization.
